BP Archive |
A corporate facility based at the University of Warwick which documents the history of BP, its predecessors and subsidiaries (including Castrol Limite, the Burmah Oil Company Limited, Kuwait Oil Co Ltd, Iraq Petroleum Co Ltd and Shell-Mex & B.P. Ltd) through a collection of original materials, including company magazines, annual reports, photographs, advertisements and official documents. Dukes Wood Oil Museum |
A museum and nature reserve on the site of the UK’s first onshore oil field. It holds many artefacts and pictures about UK Oil fields, both offshore and onshore, and provides comprehensive information on all aspects of oil exploration and production. |
Lloyds Banking Group Archives |
Records relating to the Bank of Scotland's involvement in the financing of North Sea oil and gas exploration and development are held in the Lloyds Banking Group Archives. Relevant information can be found in the main board minutes and papers, the papers of senior executives (particularly the Treasurer), the minutes of papers of the Bank's Oil and Gas Committee and the minutes and paper of the Bank's International Division. National Gas Archive |
Maintained by the National Grid, it holds records covering the history and development of the UK gas industry from about 1812 to the present day. This includes many of the administrative, financial, legal, technical, property and personnel records. |
National Gas Museum |
The Museum preserves the knowledge and skills of the industry during the twentieth century and is one of the largest, most representative and significant holdings of material relating to the gas industry. |
Museum of the Scottish Shale Oil Industry |
Based in Almond Valley Heritage Trust in West Lothain, the Museum collects objects and archives about the shale oil industry, which responsible for the world's first modern commercial oil boom in central Scotland more than 150 years ago. The Museum holds archives of Scottish Oils Ltd, its five predecessor companies and some of their precursors, and the Museum's website contains a wealth of information on the industry, including educational resources.
